After I got off that loooong haul flight (6h from Easter Island back to Santiago and then another 13h from Santiago to Auckland) I arrived safe and sound in Auckland.
For the next days, I rented a car to explore the Northern Island.
I started heading north towards Bay of Islands and Cape Reinga, went southbound again towards Coromandel, Rotorua, Taupo and Hobbiton...
As I already visited the South Island a while back when studying in Oz, I did not quite know what to expect from the North Island. But see for youselves, I found it very beautiful and stunning!
