Torres del Paine - I made it!!!

Torres del Paine National Park (Chile)

You probably know that I am not that much into hiking (to say the least :) ) BUT when in South America, you have to hike in Torres del Paine!
We were extremely lucky with the weather, so we had 2 days of sunshine, so perfect views!

Statistics of the last days:
km hiked: more than 30
hours hiked: 12
altitude: more than 1000m

At the end, we got rewarded with a beautiful view and the feeling of "we did it" :)

Yes, we made it to the top!!!

I guess there are worse things to look at :)

From Ushuaia to Puerto Natales

Argentina --> Chile

After waiting for 4 days in Ushuaia, I was finally able to get a bus to Puerto Natales (I clearly underestimated the high season and apparently half of Brazil and Isreal is traveling).
Bus ride was scheduled from 6am to midnight, so it meant a 18h bus ride.
Met Caroline (from Switzerland) in the bus, so I had good company and we were able to change buses and catched an earlier bus from Punta Arenas to Puerto Natales, so the bus ride was only 16h :)
In the end, was not a bad bus ride at all, but see for yourselves...

Sheeps decided to block the road :)

DOLPHINS!!!

Ruta del Fin des Mundo!

Arrived in Puerto Natales, what a view!

So, crossing the Magellan Street, seeing dolphins right next to the boat and the beautiful landscape definitely made up for this looong bus ride!

Tomorrow, we are off for 2 days of hiking in the famous National Park "Torres del Paine"

Stay tuned!

The end of the world aka. Tierra del Fuego

El fin del mundo

The past 3 days I spent in the southern most habitation in the whole wide world: Ushuaia, which is also called "the end of the world". The landscape is really pretty and you can do a lot of hiking.
I decided to visit the "Tierra del Fuego" National Park, took a boat tour along the Beagle Channel to visit a penguin colony and hiked to a lagoon in the mountains.
Down here, nature really shows itself from its best side, but see for youselves...
